Anybody else notice, in the technical areas Howe had 2 or 3 around him batting ideas about. Moyes looked lost, standing by himself, seems he’s even lost the support of his support team.
Same mistakes, absolute joke of a club.
So pleased that I don’t go and pay for that same old ideas all the time crap.

Embarrassing the way we’re being run by Sullivan.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Newcastle - Official Match Thread - Preview
Newcastle were impressive, Howe has them set up very well in terms of shape and organisation. On the ball they zip it about and always look forward. They commit bodies and move the ball across the pitch very well. Off the ball they work hard and press the ball very well starting with the strikers.

Compare that to Moyes and us..... well they are light years apart

We have absolutely no press, we simply can't win the ball back. The few times we did press their back 4 and GK we got the ball back. But our midfield 3 and Antonio have 0 organisation in their press. Antonio and Wilson couldnt of played their roles any more differently. Wilson was energetic and pressured our defence, Antonio just strolls around and allows them to have all the time in the world to pick a killer pass like they did for the 2nd goal.

When we do somehow manage to retrieve the ball back we can't keep it for longer than 2 passes. There's no playing through the midfield because Soucek is a waste of space. There's no link up play or penetration through the middle, Paqueta offers very little going forward. Our wingers play inverted and dont receive the ball. Emerson gives it a go, Kehrer is just awful.

We're absolutely fucked, we've scored 2 goals from set pieces last 2 games but from open play we can't create anything.

Antonio got bulllied all night by the biggest back 4 in the league and he sticks Ings on instead thinking a bloke 2 foot shorter would get more joy and 2 goals? Utterly baffling

He has to go today, we need some fresh ideas to nick a result on saturday and against Palace. Moyes' team selection, tactics and comments about us fans are fucking abysmal.

Sullivan and Moyes need to be forced out the club.

Supporters of any team must expect some sort of reaction from the team following a 1-5 home loss.
West Ham should be no different.
They and we should demand that
I Expect a win or at the very least, a hard fought draw away at Fulham.

But I'll take that massive chomp though!

ED - If I am one of those ''weirdo's'' you are referencing then let's be very clear on what i said, which was that people predicting a defeat to Southampton were being negative for the same of it, and guess what I was right. All I have ever said is that we are shit, but we will stay up, let's see if I am right again in a few weeks. You go on as if you are the only one on here that thinks we're shit.

For someone that has regularly got a lot of hings wrong on here down the years you don't 'alf have a lot of bravado, and like the bloke in the betting shop you only ever remind us of the horses you backed that won.

I can't really be bothered to analyse what everyone can clearly see, but considering I've weirdly been regularly called out by a couple of weirdos for apparently being 'negative for the sake of it', this result has been coming.

When you don't win very often, and when you do you're very lucky to win, that is a very, very bad sign. And that has essentially been our whole season. It's staggering we've actually got 27 points on the board, given our performances, but we've had so much luck at times, thankfully, as it's given us at least a fighting chance of staying up if he's sacked today.

As I said at the time, the best chance we had of staying up was losing to Everton. That result, ultimately and ironically, could be the one that sends us down if we don't make a change now.

This is a poor league we should be bottom by some way and Newcastle are not much better really ,but confident . The whole league is so poor from top to bottom utter sham , mind you I've watched a few matches abroad and it's even worse standard in Spain, Holland and Italy can't speak for others not been . Whether the world cup is the cause its dreadful stuff.

Geordies have been on TV quite a bit lately, and the sad thing is that's probably the worst they've played for a good while. Absolutely inexcusable shit. Clown show stuff and with man City and arsenal to come, we might well find that our goal difference advantage over others disappears pretty quickly

Dread to think what Moyes says to them at half time because once again we came out looking like men on a mission from God to make the opposition look amazing.

Oops posted too soon ( hurrah they say a short Sit Alf post - no chance )

The selection of Fab is similar. Areola done nothing wrong. Needs games and he doesn’t just hoof it back and is more mobile. He needs to play to get the understanding with his defence and is the man for the future being 7 or 8 years younger. Fab has been a great servant, Cresswell and Antonio but they’re times up as first choices. It’s so obvious to everyone.

Take the case of Emerson. Ok got the offside positioning wrong but given a run he is becoming one of our better performers ( ok low bar but he’s got better ). Areola and Downes and Fornals in his proper position need to play. And Benrahma once like the previous mentioned untouchables is now the opposite

Cornet needs more game time.

Moyes makes the changes most people see as needed but 6-12 months too late. It’s just one huge example of his inflexibility and entrenched stubborn mindset that is taking us down.

Well the optimist says we can’t make that many errors defensively again surely? A wet evening, ball fizzing about and the Barcodes pace and movement , crisp accurate passing in midfield and upfront all contributed to us looking like we were the Keystone Cops in a custard pie fight

We joked that knowing Moyes he would start Soucek again after his no show against Southampton and many previous league games. But I think we all felt that even Moyes had seen his failings. Nope, and we bet overrun in the middle and cannot press. It’s hard when you’re a man down to do that.

Downes and Fornals must wonder what they got to do. This Soucek selection is beyond belief now. It’s all linked to Moyes misty view of those COVID days when we last played well 18 MONTHS AGO !!!

The recall of Fabianski. Yes he made good saves but it’s

Tragedy of errors...

For the opener, Thilo Kehrer headed a deep cross behind under no pressure. The resulting corner was half-cleared and Allan Saint-Maximin's cross found Wilson unmarked 12 yards out to head in - and the lapses steadily got worse for the home defence.

The second saw a single Fabian Schar long ball beat the whole backline, with Zouma failing to track the run of Joelinton while Emerson did not step up with his fellow defenders to play the Brazilian offside.

Joelinton rounded Fabianski to score and though the goal was initially flagged offside it was allowed following a VAR check.

Seconds into the second half Aguerd dawdled on a rolled ball from Fabianski, allowing Jacob Murphy to steal the ball and square for a Wilson tap-in.

The defensive shambles coup de grace was saved for the fourth as the Polish keeper rushed out of his goal and miscontrolled a long ball, allowing Isak to lob into an empty net.

From the beeb.
Oh well move on see what we can do Saturday

I wasn’t expecting anything from this fixture, wasn’t expecting a 5-1 beat down though. Especially at home.

We will be lucky to ponce a point against Fulham. We are in a bad state. The way this squad has been managed is criminal. How we could come into this season with so many changes needed all at once is amateur.

looking at this lot there's maybe six points left here based on (i) we don't do away games (ii) our Home games are against traditional top 6, aside from Leeds. So that's 3 from Leeds and 3 odd draws. Everyone else I can see getting more. We're down if Moyes stays.

(A Fulham
(H) Arsenal
(A) Bournemouth
(H) Liverpool
(A) Palace
(A) Man C
(H) Man U
(A) Brentford
(H) Leeds
(A) Leicester

Well we’re a bit shit this year and now Newcastle are on an upward bounce. I didn’t expect to win this, but the mistakes were bad.

Fulham becomes another must win or at least get a point. No point in changing Moyes now and Sullivan never changes managers unless he has no choice, as we found out with Avram in the past.

Still think we will stay up, but unbelievable how we’ve gone into reverse on so many fronts.

I watched the abject Southampton game as it was a must win and honesty nodded off several times, I recall waking up near the end when the commentator shouted because he thought their 6ft 7" African striker had scored when it hit the bar.

I thought I would give it the benefit of doubt and watched this, but wasn't confident and tuned in late, I remember thinking that i had missed the first approx 10 minutes but we can't score anyway and they probably will come out the blocks quick and score. We were 0-1 when I tuned in and 0-2 as I opened my cheese and onion crisps, game over. I thought about switching off, but decided to see if any of our players were up for the fight, I wish I hadn't.

Moyes was a central defender and has set his team up negative all season to defend first as a priority. Allardyce another central defender used to do similar, shit to watch but it was more effective results wise. If Moyes can't deliver that as a bare minimum after £200m spend he should go, because we are ceding possession hence not attacking, creating or scoring apart from set pieces and he will relegate us as Sunderland. A new manager interim or otherwise will give the club a lift, a bounce maybe. Sullivan may have left it too late, but it's worth a try, stare like a rabbit in headlights and we are gone.

I thought Rice had a decent game and was getting forward more. I think Rice has put a few noses out of joint with all his silly antics you see in social media vids, giggling hysterically like a 10 year old, back slapping, cuddling, all that modern day cringe bollocks, then there was what he said with England. Good player, but I wouldn't have the cunt captaining my Sunday morning team, He's a fucking man child and needs to grow up a bit.
